Lindsay French: Executive Director
Lindsay is originally from Rochester, NY and started her healthcare career at 15 years old working in an assisted living facility. Lindsay received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland and MBA at The Citadel. She and her husband and two dogs live on John’s Island and enjoy getting out on the water, traveling, and spending time with their families.
Lisa McLeod: Director of Sales and Marketing
Lisa is our Director of Sales & Marketing with over 15 years’ experience in senior care. She graduated from Merrimack College with a BA in Sociology and a minor in education. She received her CRCF license about 13 years ago. She has also worked with a private duty home care company, as well as hospice. Lisa and her husband have 4 children and 2 beautiful labs.
Melodie Garman: Director of Nursing
Melodie has 22 years of experience in skilled nursing. She has a Master of Nursing degree in leadership and management from Walden University. She also achieved two post-master’s certificates in nursing education and nursing informatics. In her free time, she enjoys teaching as an adjunct clinical instructor for a local nursing school, pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, and spending time with family and friends outdoors.
Renee Elson: Director of Rehabilitation
Renee Elston has over 12 years of experience in therapy services. She is new to Charleston from Northwest Louisiana and brings us her energetic, outgoing personality and will bring enthusiasm to our community!
Renee Chavis: Rehabilitation Admissions Director
Renee Chavis serves as our Rehabilitation Admissions Director, bringing over 12 years of experience in admissions. She is passionate about her role, serving as the first point of contact for individuals entering the rehabilitation program. Renee takes pride in guiding each person through the intake process and ensuring they feel supported as they begin their journey to recovery. Outside of work, Renee enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and pets.
Anna Sacca: Business Office Manager
Originally from Charleston, Anna moved to the area in 1962 with her mother, who became a U.S. citizen. Her father served 20 years in the U.S. Navy. She began her career in the medical field at 18 and has worked for multiple companies, including as a Regional Business Office Manager. Passionate about helping residents and their families navigate financial matters, she has dedicated her life’s work to this field and loved every minute of it. She is a proud mother of three and grandmother of four, with family across the country.
Leah Hall: Life Enrichment Director
Leah Hall is originally from Kings Mountain, NC, and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology from Belmont Abbey College. With a 9-year-old daughter by her side, they share a passion for arts and crafts, traveling, and basking in beach adventures together. Her dedication to the residents of Kempton of Charleston shines through as she enjoys spending quality time with them. Striving to create enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful activities, she fosters a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.
Stacey Turnock: Nurse Manager
Stacey Turnock is originally from Columbus Ohio. She Moved here in late 2014 with her husband of 14 years and 2 children. Stacey started in healthcare in 2003 as home health aide and found a passion in caring for people so she enrolled in nursing school. After she graduated in 2006 she began her nursing career in psych nursing and has specialized in geriatrics ever since. With 18+ years’ experience in nursing and healthcare she has a lot to offer the Kempton community as far as knowledge and skill go. She has a bold personality with an impressive will to get the job done. In her free time, Stacey enjoys spending time with her loving husband & family. Together they enjoy relaxing as a family, spending time out in the warm Charleston sunshine on the water and just enjoying life.
James Pinto, CALA, CDM, CFPP : Head Chef
Chef Jamie moved to Summerville, South Carolina from Manahawkin, New Jersey in early 2023 with his wife Elizabeth. Their children reside in New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia along with their seven grandchildren. Chef Jamie has been in the hospitality and food service industry his entire career, attending culinary school at the Academy of Culinary Arts. He is a Certified Dietary Manager, Serve Safe Certified, a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator and has experience with full-service kosher operations and services. Throughout his career Chef Jamie has worked as a Chef Educator, Director of Dining Services, and an owner/operator of his own restaurant.
Ra’Shea DeVaughn: Business Office Manager
Ra’Shea DeVaughn, originally from McColl, SC. Started his career in Healthcare in 2019 working in a Skilled Nursing Facility. He went on to pursue his education by receiving his Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from The University of Phoenix. In 2024 Ra’Shea, became a Certified/Licensed Assisted Living Administrator. During his free time, he enjoys shopping, traveling, and enjoying time with friends and family.
